Plate with the arms of the Ver Heull family

Porcelain plate, painted on the glaze in blue, red, pink, green, yellow, black and gold. On the flat the coat of arms of the Ver Huell family divided into two fields. Above a pair of spectacles in gold and below three staples. The crest consists of a Roman helmet with golden wings and a mantling of leafy vines. The coat of arms is surrounded by a whole of military flags and spears with a crown on top. Below the coat of arms palm leaves, two cannons, arrows, ribbons and foliage are depicted. On the wall a spearhead border; on the rim three fields with landscapes in Chinese style with between them fruit branches (citron) and a spearhead border. Old label on the underside with 'Vice Admiraal in 1804/ G.H. Ver Heull/ geb. 1764/ gezant van Holland te Parijs in 1808'. Armorial porcelain with enamel colors.
