About this work
Porcelain plate, painted on the glaze in blue, red, pink, black, and gold. On the flat surface the coat of arms of the Van den Broek or Dierkens family. On the oval shield a blue eagle is depicted. The crest is a golden crown and a mantling in red, gold, and blue in the Louis XIV style. In the flat a pattern of flowers and scrolls in bianco-sopra-bianco. On the wall a spearhead border. On the rim a decoration in the Viennese Du Paquier style with cartouches in a geometric pattern, flowers, garlands, and peacocks. Old label on the underside with 'Hasselaer'. Armorial porcelain with enamel colors.
