Dish with the arms of the Woodford and Lear families

Porcelain plate with round wall, painted overglaze in blue, red, green, brown, black and gold. On the field the coat of arms of the families Woodford and Lear. The coat of arms is divided into two quarters: left Woodford with a lion's head (reversed) in a French lily against a black background; right Lear with three unicorns and a crenellated band against a blue background. The crest is a stylised flower flanked by two claws. The mantling in brown with scrolling foliage and garlands at the bottom. Around the coat of arms a spearhead border. On the wall eight precious objects and symbols of luck (musical stone, shell, scrolls, parasol, fan, book, horns); the inner rim with a band of scrollwork. On the outer rim a decorative band and on the wall four flower sprigs. Old label on the underside with 'Woodford'. Coat of arms porcelain with enamel colours.
