About this work
Pear-shaped porcelain milk jug with C-shaped handle, small triangular spout, painted in enamel colors on the glaze in blue, red, pink, green, yellow, black, and gold. On the body a cartouche with scrollwork containing a landscape with several seated figures and two woodcutters; on either side of the cartouche a flower branch; on the rim a band with scrolls in the Meissen style. European form and subject in enamel colors.
