About this work

Porcelain plate, painted overglaze in blue, red, pink, green, yellow and black. On the flat surface a flower basket (including peony, aster and pomegranate); the wall with a 'spearhead-border'; the rim with an elaborate decorative band of flower scrolls and lacework. A crack and a chip in the rim. Famille rose.
