About this work

Porcelain plate, painted overglaze in blue, red, pink, green, yellow, black, and gold. On the flat surface, branches of peony and symbols of good fortune such as a book, fruit bowl (finger citron, pomegranate), mushroom (lingzhi), and a vase with two peony branches; the wall with lacework alternating with a cartouche containing a stylized lotus vine; the wall with four flower groups. Famille rose.
