About this work

Octagonal plate of porcelain with flaring sides, painted overglaze in blue, red, pink, green, yellow and black. On the center of the plate flowering plants (peony, aster) and a butterfly; on the sides eight compartments with alternating a flower branch (peony, prunus, gladiolus) and lotus scrolls against a background of needlework. Old label on the underside of the plate with 'pag: 48'. Famille rose.
