About this work

Porcelain dish, painted in underglaze blue and on the glaze in red, green, yellow, aubergine and black. On the flat surface a medallion with insects and flowering plants at a rock; around the medallion eight petal-shaped compartments with branches of flowers (cherry, lotus, peony) against an alternating background in green enamel and underglaze blue, between the compartments red circles; the rim with zigzag work; the reverse with the same decoration as on the inner wall. Famille verte.
