About this work

Bowl of porcelain with a ribbed wall and lobed rim, painted on the glaze in blue, red, green, yellow, aubergine, black and gold. The outer wall is divided into two bands. The upper band consists of six compartments with alternately flowering plants (lotus, peony, chrysanthemum) and three mythological animals (shishi, qilin). The lower band consists of twisted compartments with flowering plants near a rock. On the bottom a pheasant on a rock near flowering peonies. The inner rim with a band with flower scrolls. A chip in the rim. Famille verte.
