About this work
Porcelain teapot with globular body, C-shaped handle and straight spout, painted on the glaze in pink (and camaïeu). On the wall two lobed rococo cartouches with small chinoiserie figures worked in; in one cartouche a view of a European village with persons and a man on horseback, the other with a harbour landscape. On the lid three roses. Marked on the underside with an imitation Meissen mark, two crossed swords, in blue enamel. Lid knob broken. Decorated in Europe.
