About this work

Porcelain teapot with globular body, C-shaped handle, and straight spout, painted on the glaze in pink (and camaïeu). On the body two lobed rococo cartouches containing small chinoiserie figures; one cartouche shows a view of a European village with figures and a man on horseback, the other a harbor landscape. Marked on the underside with an imitation Meissen mark, two crossed swords, in blue enamel. Decorated in Europe.
