About this work

Octagonal, bell-shaped lidded bowl of porcelain, painted in underglaze blue and overglaze gold. The outside of the bowl is covered with underglaze blue with flowering branches in gold. In this, four scalloped cartouches are cut out with flowering plants (prunus, bamboo) and a stylized peony. On the bottom a flower vase. The inner rim with eight compartments with stylized flowers and floral scrolls. Imari.
