About this work

Lid of an octagonal, bell-shaped lidded bowl of porcelain, painted in underglaze blue and overglaze gold. The outside of the lid is covered with underglaze blue with flowering branches in gold. In this, four scalloped cartouches are cut out with flowering plants (prunus, bamboo) and a stylized peony. On the inside a flower vase. Imari.
