About this work

Pear-shaped porcelain vase with a flaring neck and upstanding rim, covered with a monochrome crazed grey glaze and gilded biscuit. On either side of the shoulder, a monster head with a ring; around the foot, shoulder, and neck, a band with ruyi motifs, decoration in gilded biscuit. Gilding is flaking; one ring present. Monochromes.
