About this work

Egg-shaped lidded jar of porcelain, painted on the glaze in blue, red, green, yellow, black and gold. On the belly four times a shaped cartouche with a fan-shaped compartment with a woman on an enclosed terrace by two towers. The compartment is surrounded by antiquities (books, scrolls, vases). Between the cartouches each time a lotus and a peony. Above the foot a decorative band and a band with floral scrolls. The shoulder with a band ruyi motifs and one with floral scrolls. On the lid antiquities (vase with peacock feathers and coral, tripod, qin, books, incense burner) and a band with leaf-shaped cartouches with floral scrolls. Marked on the underside with a diamond in a double circle. Famille verte.
