About this work

Lid of a baluster-shaped lidded pot of porcelain with a broad neck, painted in underglaze blue and with gold overglaze. The body is divided into three rows with scalloped rectangular compartments alternating between a flowering plant near a rock and symbols of good fortune and antiquities. On the neck, a band with lotus scrolls cut out against a blue background. The underside is unglazed. Blue and white with gold enamel.
