Vase (rolling carriage) of porcelain with a cylindrical body and spreading neck, painted in underglaze blue. On the body, a scene of a dignitary and his retinue meeting a hermit in a river landscape with rocks, banana trees, and a willow. One man holds a banner, another a sword. The hermit stands before a cloth with objects. Probably King Wen of the Zhou dynasty and the wise hermit Jiang Taigong. On the neck, a band with hanging, pointed leaf motifs. The base is unglazed. Transitional porcelain in blue and white.
