About this work

Pear-shaped lidded jar on foot of porcelain with two handles whose tops are modeled in a monster head, painted in underglaze blue. On the body large lotus flowers and flower branches between which a lobed cartouche with scrolls, books, artemisia leaf and two overlapping fan-shaped compartments one with a man on a terrace with pavilion and flower branches; the foot with a zig-zag pattern; the rim with flower scrolls; the lid with treasures (pearl, diamond) and luck symbols and flower branches, separated by a wavy line. Blue and white.
