About this work

Teapot of soft-paste porcelain (pâte tendre) with a pressed pear-shaped body, straight spout and C-shaped handle, painted in underglaze blue. On the belly a band with stylised lotus vines with below and above a band with spiral work. Below that a band with ruyi motifs. Around the foot a band with petal motif. On the neck a band with a meander pattern. The lid with a meander and spiral band. On the handle and spout a cloud motif. Marked on the underside with 'yù', jade. Spout has been broken. Lid is not matching. Blue and white.
