About this work
Teapot of soft-paste porcelain (pâte tendre) with a printed pear-shaped body, straight spout and C-shaped handle, painted in underglaze blue. On the belly a band with stylized lotus scrolls, with a band of spiral work above and below. Below a band with ruyi motifs. Around the foot a band with petal motifs. On the neck a band with a meander pattern. The lid with a meander and spiral band. On the handle and spout a cloud motif. Marked on the underside with 'yù', jade, in a double circle. Spout and handle were broken and repaired. Lid is glued. Blue and white.
