About this work
Bell-shaped porcelain cup with a scalloped rim, painted in underglaze blue. The lower part of the wall modelled in petal-shaped panels containing Chinese men, women (long-limbed) and boys (fools); above that a band with panels containing flower branches (peony, lotus, prunus) and dragons. On the base two dragons among clouds; the inner rim with flower branches in panels. Two chips and two cracks in the rim. Blue and white.
