About this work
Vase of porcelain with a globular body and wide, flaring neck, painted in underglaze blue. The vase is covered with bleu poudré (powdered blue) with three carved panels on the body filled with antiquities, treasures, and objects used by scholars: books, inkwell, scrolls, etc.; on the neck two leaf-shaped reserves with floral sprays and insects. Bleu poudré with underglaze blue.
