About this work
Porcelain vase with a globular body and wide, flaring neck, painted in underglaze blue. The vase is covered with bleu poudré (powdered blue) with three carved-out lobed compartments on the wall filled with antiquities, treasures and objects used by scholars: books, brush pot, scrolls etc.; on the neck, two leaf-shaped reserves with flower branches and insects. Bleu poudré with blue and white.
