About this work
Flower pot of porcelain in the shape of a bucket with handle, painted in underglaze blue. The basin is divided into two parts separated by a brown line, the upper part with a bird before bamboo and a bird before a flowering peony. The lower part with eight compartments with different types of napkin work. On the handle twice a three-clawed dragon chasing a pearl. The rim with a meander pattern. Marked on the underside with the eight-character mark of manufacturer Goradyu Shonzui (1577-1663). Two cracks in the basin near the handle. Blue and white.
