About this work
Hexagonal tea caddy with indented corners on three very low unglazed feet, with flat shoulders and a round, flat lid. On the six sides three different scenes, painted in pink, blue, green (2 shades), brown, orange and yellow enamel: a water landscape, two birds among flowering plants and a rock, a woman with bare breast and a child on her lap by the water (Mary?). Between the panels black scrolls with gold details on a very light blue ground. On the bottom a European floral scroll in blue.
