About this work

Rectangular silk cloth with fringes of twisted warp threads on the short sides. The base weave shows a block pattern in orange, green, purple and dark green (created by a combination of green and purple weft and warp threads). Flower, star and butterfly motifs applied in bright colours: yellow, pink, light blue, purple-blue and originally also gold and silver thread.
