About this work

Some of the flowers of the scarlet hibiscus have finished blooming and several leaves are already turning orange: it is late summer, and the dragonflies still dart about. Kenji stamped three sheets of leather in relief and then painted them with vibrant colours and sprinkled gold powder. Details of the flowers are inlaid with mother-of-pearl.
