About this work

Teapot of porcelain with globular body, C-shaped handle and curved spout, painted on the glaze in blue, red, pink, yellow, black and gold. Around the foot a band with pointed motifs, above that a band with lacework, the rest of the pot is covered with cut-out flower scrolls on a blue ground with large flowers (e.g. peony, lotus); between the spout and handle on both sides a cut-out cartouche with antiquities (e.g. censer, sceptre, vase with peacock feathers and coral); on the spout and handle cloud motifs; on the rim scrollwork. The lid with the same decoration. Famille rose.
