About this work
Porcelain teapot with a globular body, C-shaped handle and curved spout, painted on the glaze in blue, red, pink, yellow, black and gold. Around the foot, a band with pointed motifs, above that a band with lacework, the rest of the pot covered with cut-out flower vines on a blue ground with large flowers (e.g., peony, lotus); between the spout and the handle on both sides, a cut-out cartouche with antiquities (e.g., censer, scepter, vase with peacock feathers and coral); on the spout and handle, cloud motifs; on the rim, scrollwork. Famille rose.
