About this work
Square porcelain salt cellar on a high, spreading foot, painted in underglaze blue. On the top a woman (Long Lij) and boy (little fool) in an enclosed garden at a pavilion. Around it a decorative band with flower branches in cartouches. On the foot four scalloped compartments with alternating a flowering plant at a rock and flower tendrils. The glaze is broken at the corners. Blue and white.
