About this work

Porcelain teapot with pear-shaped body, C-shaped ear and slightly curved spout, painted in underglaze blue and on the glaze red, green, black and gold. On the wall twice a flower rosette surrounded by lotus vines. The ear and the spout surrounded by a cartouche with leaf vines and 'frog spawn'. Around the foot a band with lotus vines in cartouches. Lid with the same decoration. Imari.
