About this work
Porcelain bowl with spreading wall, painted with underglaze blue. The wall is decorated with glazed rice-grain pierced work; around the foot Taoist symbols (gourd, fruit basket, fan and castanets); around the outer rim lacework; on the base a medallion where around flowers; around the inner rim a decorative band with flowers. Marked on the underside with CHINA and the four-character mark of Emperor Kangxi. Blue and white.
