About this work
Rectangular leaf with indented corners on four low feet. Painted with figures on a terrace: a high-placed Chinese sits on a chair and is fanned with a fan; behind him a large room screen. In front of him two persons kneel. On the reverse side, two groups of four men stand watching. In the border a geometric pattern and a highly stylized leaf vine. On the raised outer edge a cracked ice motif and on the bottom a mushroom in blue.
