About this work

Porcelain plate with upright wall and sloping rim, painted in underglaze blue. On the flat surface a raised medallion in the center with six persons in an interior around a table; around this four times a flowering branch (prunus, peony, lotus, chrysanthemum); the rim with a continuous landscape with scholars and their servants; the reverse of the rim with floral scrolls; the reverse of the wall with four times a flowering branch (prunus, peony, lotus, chrysanthemum). Several chips in the rim. Blue and white.
