About this work
Porcelain plate with round sides, painted in underglaze blue, on biscuit blue, green, yellow, aubergine, and black, and on the glaze green, aubergine, and black. The front of the plate is covered with a black glaze with a medallion cut out within it, surrounded by flowering plants in reserve (lotus, chrysanthemum, prunus, and peony); the underside with four flower branches, the aubergine enamel of the flower scraped off. Marked on the underside in underglaze blue with an artemisia leaf in a double circle. Three chips in the rim. Possibly decorated in Europe. Email sur biscuit with famille noire colors.
