About this work

Cup of porcelain with ribbed wall and lobed rim, painted in underglaze blue and overglaze blue, red, green, yellow, aubergine, black, and gold. The outside of the cup with four fish among water plants, the rim with a band of ruyi motifs; on the bottom a fish and the inside with four fish in iron-red, the rim with a band of ruyi motifs. Marked on the underside with 'Yù', jade, in a double circle. Two cracks in the wall of the cup. Old merchant label on the underside. Famille verte.
