About this work

Cup and saucer of porcelain with ribbed wall and lobed rim, painted in underglaze blue and on the glaze blue, red, green, yellow, aubergine, black and gold. The outside of the cup with four fish between water plants, the rim with a band ruyi motif; on the bottom a fish and the inside with four fish in iron red, the rim with a band ruyi motif. The flat of the saucer with a fifth, larger fish between water plants, further the same decoration as on the cup. Both marked on the underside with 'Yù', jade, in a double circle. Old merchant label on the underside. Famille Verte.
