About this work

Octagonal cup and saucer of porcelain, partially covered with café-au-lait, painted in underglaze blue and on the glaze red, green, yellow, aubergine and black. The outside of the cup is covered with a café-au-lait-coloured glaze with flower branches and butterflies in Famille Verte enamel in compartment decoration; on the bottom two hares and two birds near a rock with flowering plants; the inside of the wall with butterflies; the rim with zigzag work alternating with flowers. The saucer with the same decoration. Both marked on the underside with a hare in red enamel. Two chips in the rim of the saucer. Famille Verte with monochrome brown glaze.
