About this work

Octagonal cup and saucer of porcelain with flaring wall, painted on the glaze in blue, red, pink, green, yellow and black. On the ground of the saucer flowering plants (peony, aster) and a butterfly; on the wall eight compartments with alternating a flower branch (peony, Prunus, gladiolus) and lotus scrolls against a background of lacework. The cup with the same decoration. Old label on the underside of the saucer with 'pag: 48'. Famille rose.
