About this work

Octagonal cup of porcelain, partially covered with café-au-lait, painted in underglaze blue and overglaze red, green, yellow, aubergine, and black. The outside of the cup is covered with a café-au-lait-colored glaze with floral sprigs and butterflies with famille verte enamel in compartment decoration; on the bottom two hares and two birds by a rock with flowering plants; the inside of the wall with butterflies; the rim with zigzag work alternating with flowers. Marked on the underside with a hare in red enamel. Two chips in the rim of the plate. Famille verte with monochrome brown glaze.
