About this work
Porcelain bowl with a ribbed wall and scalloped rim, painted in underglaze blue and overglaze blue, red, green, yellow, black, and gold. On the flat surface in a medallion the coat of arms of Mechelen with the inscription 'Meggelen' below it, flower sprigs, two butterflies, and two birds around the coat of arms. The wall is divided into twelve petal-shaped compartments alternating a flower vase and a person in a landscape; between the compartments lacework. The back with two flower sprigs. Coat of arms porcelain with Famille verte enamel colors.
