About this work

Bowl of porcelain with openwork wall and flaring rim, covered with a white glaze and painted in underglaze blue. The walls feature openwork with five medallions with openwork flowers; around the foot and on the rim a band with floral scrolls or scrollwork in relief. Marked on the underside with the six-character mark of Emperor Chenghua. Transitional porcelain.
