About this work
Ewer of porcelain with wall flaring outwards at top and bottom, painted in underglaze blue. On the wall three rectangular compartments with flowering plants (peony, plum) by a rock with insects and birds. Between them each time a narrower compartment with reticulated work (or coin pattern). At the bottom and top a band with lobed cartouches with chrysanthemum scrolls, separated by a ruyi motif. On the outer rim and on the foot a band of flowers in medallions in reserve. The inner rim with a band of pine branches. Blue and white.
