About this work

Square porcelain brush pot on a plinth, painted on the glaze in blue, red, green, yellow, aubergine, and black. The pot is covered with flowering plants against a black-speckled green ground, with two cartouches in reserve each containing a bird on a plum branch and a lotus plant; bamboo by a rock and fishermen; a qilin in a landscape and three squirrels on an oak branch; a figure on a boat in a river landscape and a fish; the plinth with a meander pattern. Famille verte.
