About this work

Egg-shaped lidded pot of porcelain, painted in underglaze blue. On the body two sculpted cartouches with a pearl-chasing dragon among clouds. Between the cartouches a landscape with trees, clouds, rocks, and two men with an umbrella on a bridge. On the shoulder and neck a decorative band. Arita, blue and white.
