About this work

The story depicted here is about Ma Gu, the goddess of longevity. Accompanied by the god of longevity, Shou Lao, she is headed to the birthday celebration of the immortal Xiwangmu, the queen-mother of the West. Her gift is in the calabash tied around her waist, that is the wine of the lingzhi, the mushroom of immortality.
