About this work

Lid of a porcelain tea caddy with four lobed sides and rim and four short feet, painted on the glaze in blue, red, pink, green, yellow, black, and gold. The lid knob in the form of a shishi (lion-dog); on the lid, floral scrolls and cartouches with landscapes or sprigs of flowers. European representation in enamel colors.
