About this work
The Irish are defeated by the army of King William III in the Battle of Newtownbutler (near Enniskillen) on 31 July 1689. Plate no. 2 in the series 'The English Theatre' on the war between William III and James II in the years 1690-1691 after the Glorious Revolution, (third part). With inscriptions in Dutch and French.
