About this work

Prometheus stands next to the human figure he himself created from mud and is just giving him fire in the form of a torch. Around the two men are various animals (elephant, lion, monkey, dog, turtle, cow, deer). In the clouds are Minerva, Jupiter and Helios. Below the scene, two times two lines of Latin verse. The print is part of an album.
