About this work
Juno arrives in her chariot drawn by two peacocks at the sea gods Thetis and Oceanus to complain about the honorable treatment that Callisto and her son Arcas have received from her husband Jupiter. Jupiter has placed them as constellations in the sky. At Juno's request, Thetis and Oceanus ensure that the constellation of the Great Bear never sets in the sea. Below the image, two times two lines of verse in Latin. The print is part of an album.
